Create for Mission Day (sponsored by Church Women United) Ladies, please plan to attend on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Oak Park United Methodist Church, 601 NW Brentwood Drive, from 9:30 to 2 p.m. A light lunch will be served at 12:30 for $5.00.
We will be cutting and sewing items that will be distributed to area nursing homes. Bring any sewing equipment you would like to use: sewing machine, scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat. We will not be using sergers this year.
You do not need to be a sewer to attend. We need cutters, pinners, pressers and assemblers – there will be a job for everyone. We will, also, assemble hygiene and school kits for Church World Service for distribution to national and international areas experiencing disasters.
Donations would be appreciated for postage or supplies. Also, kits may be purchased- $12 for hygiene kits, and $17 for school kits. Make your check payable to Church Women United and mail to Pat Brown, 2580 Yorman Rd., Bartlesville, OK 74006 (918-333-1714).
